Hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosis Therapy

Do you sweat a lot? Even when it’s not particularly hot or you’re not working out? Most people sweat when they’re under the sun, working out, or doing something physically strenuous. But if you get wet and sweaty for no discernible reason, you might be suffering from hyperhidrosis.

We have good news—hyperhidrosis can be easily and effectively treated with tox.
• Treatments take 15 to 20 minutes
• Results typically seen in 5 to 7 days
• Results can last from 3 to 6 months.

Tox Treats More Than Wrinkles. Much More.
A popular misconception about tox is that it only treats wrinkles and facial fine lines. That misunderstanding is understandable since most popular depictions of tox relate to its cosmetic values. However, tox has significant value beyond wrinkle relaxation or cosmetic treatments. Neurotoxin is a powerful modulator used to temporarily paralyze muscles. As such, it’s put to use in various medical forms, including the treatment of TMJ pain, muscle spasms, and excess sweating. Neurotoxin has FDA-approval as a treatment for underarms hyperhidrosis, but it can also be used for scalp hyperhidrosis.

How Neurotoxin Treats Hyperhidrosis
Sweating is your body’s natural response to heat and physical exertion because it helps regulate your body temperature, keeping you cool. Your nervous system communicates with your sweat glands to activate your body’s sweat response in the correct situations. Hyperhidrosis is a condition that makes your nervous system go on overdrive, activating the sweat glands even when there’s no external impetus for sweating in the form of physical exertion or heating.

An effective neurotoxin blocks communication between muscles and nerve roots. When injected into the correct regions in your scalp, it blocks communication between your sweat glands and the related nerves, preventing your nerves from activating your body’s sweat response. It essentially relaxes the overworked sweat glands to make it stop producing sweat. As such, tox effectively reduces the symptoms of hyperhidrosis.
